1. Candy Crush Saga

Most Popular Mobile Games - candy crush saga

Candy Crush Saga is one of the most popular mobile games, with over 20 million daily users. The game is so popular that King Digital Entertainment has become a publicly-traded company on the NYSE. Developer King released this game was released in 2012 by developer King and quickly rose to fame.

The app itself is free to play but contains microtransactions, allowing players to purchase virtual items using real money. Users must swap between two adjacent candies among others of the same type to make matches of three or more for points towards completing levels. The game also features special power-ups such as lollipop hammers which break through multiple candies at once.

2. Pokémon GO

While not as old as other games on this list, Pokémon GO exploded in popularity after the release of the iPhone 7 and iOS 10. The game uses augmented reality to allow players to find and capture Pokémon all around them in real life.

Players start by choosing their custom-made character before setting out into the world. Once outside, they can walk around or use a bike to travel faster and encounter various Pokémon that they can fight against or capture using Pokéballs. The player must go to specific locations known as “gyms” where they can battle each other’s custom-made characters for control of said location (this is also where you’ll be able to catch more powerful Pokémon).

3. Clash of Clan

Players can then work together, forming clans that allow them to exchange extra resources with each other or battle it out at specific arena locations for bonus loot. As one may expect, this game also has microtransactions included for speeding up timers or buying upgrades using real money (similar to Candy Crush).

4. Genshin Impact

There are over 200 different attacks that one can unlock and several “arts” that determine what special moves you have access to in the middle of battle.

The story mode features over 350 stages and can be played solo or with other players online though there are also side modes for quick play sessions.

5. PUBG Mobile

Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds Mobile is a more recent entry to this list, having only been released in March 2018. This game is based on another PC game by the same name, which gained massive popularity on Steam the year before the mobile version’s release.

The player’s goal is to become the last person alive after parachuting into an open area with up to 100 other players where they need to scavenge for weapons and resources. The player then needs to fight against everyone else until only one person is left standing. It features HD graphics and decent controls and comes at a lower price than most games that offer similar gameplay.

9. League of Legends: Wild Rift

League of Legends: Wild Rift is an online multiplayer battle arena mobile game developed and published by Riot Games for Android and iOS devices.

The free-to-play modification features many elements from its counterpart PC title League of Legends, including controlling a champion with unique abilities, with the end goal of destroying the enemy team’s turrets base.

Each match lasts around 15 minutes on mobile compared to 30-40 minutes on PC, and since the release of Wild Rift, esports events such as tournaments have quickly emerged, alongside wild rift coaching to help players get better at the game.
